As we strive towards shaping the way industrial companies take on digital transformation, we’re looking for a Usability Engineer to join us at Sandvik CODE in Stockholm.

Job Description

As part of our design team, you perform user research and usability analyses across Sandvik’s digital offerings. You are also an integral part of improving our overall user and customer experiences as we continue our journey to support digital adoption inside manufacturing.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop usability test plans
  • Develop formative and summative evaluations and test protocols, conduct testing and report relevant findings from usability tests
  • Assist in the identification of use specifications, use errors and usability risks
  • Perform user research to identify end-use problems

Your skills and qualifications

You have a Bachelor’s in Usability Engineering, Psychology or Human Factors Engineering, and at least one or two years’ experience form conducting usability testing and user research. As our team at Sandvik CODE are truly international, we expect you to have excellent communication skills in English. Other requirements for this position are:

  • Proven experience converting research findings into actionable insights for product design
  • Fluency in Design Thinking and Human-Centered Design principles
  • A portfolio to showcase previous work
  • An attitude of continuous learning in combination with genuine enthusiasm for creating success together with others
  • A deep understanding of strengths and shortcomings of different qualitative and experimental research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product development phase
  • Excellent observational and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to communicate and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders effortlessly
